Maintaining a relationship (girlfriend) while inside the seminary

What's your take on this issue?

Others say it's a lesser evil compared to having a boyfriend while inside the seminary.

This is my stand on it, it would be very unfair for the girl if a seminarian would maintain a relationship while inside the seminary. Because "You cannot serve two masters at the same time", am i right SK? salute

Ideally, if you entered the seminary seriously looking ahead to become a priest, you would not be entertaining the idea of getting into a relationship (bf-gf).

In reality though, most seminarians believe they have that priestly calling (that's why they entered seminary, or maybe its just a good place to be???) but boys will be boys. At a young age a lot of things are to be discovered, to be ventured and a lot of changes are happening. So if you don't have that strong constitution and that conscientiuousness of maintaining your priestly goals, what is natural to this world will certainly take over. Boy meets girl; attraction and eventually pursuit.

Keep prayers always as part of your lives. Pray that enlightenment be provided to you to decide what really is the right path that you should take. Definitely, an answer will come but just be willing to listen.

Hehehe! been there! Done That! Simple lang .... semenarista ka man o hinde, alamin mo ang ibig sabihin ng ginagawa mo... Sosiologically speaking ang nanliligaw ay yung gustong mag asawa. so kung di mo sya gustong mapangasawa di dapat ligawan.... semenarista ka man o hinde....

Pano naman bro kung ikaw yung niligawan? Seriously, marami ang nabibiktima ng mga "seminarian hunters" lalo na pa dating sa college... Mostly, kasalanan talaga ng seminarian, pero meron talaga dyan yung mga naive sa ganyang bagay... Nakakatuwa lang kasi pag visiting Sunday, may mga fans club talaga. Yan ang isa sa mga phenomenon - Basta naka sutana, fair game daw.
